DJ Berthiot (马罗) was born on May 29th in Bitam, the north of the Republic of Gabon. A Hip-Hop / EDM music producer and vocal coach, he fell in love with music as a child and started playing as a DJ at the age of 14. A year later he discovered computer music (计算机音乐) and became one of the most talented electronic musicians of his province.

Early on, he grew deeply interested in Chinese culture — especially kung-fu (功夫) cinema, with actors like Bruce Lee and Jackie Chan, traditional music instruments, and Beijing opera.

Since 2011, when he came to China to study electronic and information engineering (电子信息工程), he has helped many local artists develop their talent and performed as a DJ in major nightclubs (武汉、北京、新乡、阜阳、合肥), at private parties and weddings. Once a year he travels back to Africa for festivals.

Owner and CEO of UrbanTrap Music, DJ Berthiot is currently working on his first international album release, featuring the best foreign and Chinese local artists.
